⛤ This isn't an organized event, though there may well be some in your area.
⛤ This is an unofficial holiday where we all get to celebrate what being Goth means to us, knowing that other Goths - near and far - are doing the same thing.
⛤ There are no requirements for you to meet, and no location you have to get to, in order to participate.
This holiday was created by DJ Cruel Britannia and Martin Oldgoth to help promote visibility and acceptance of the Goth community.
Goth is an enduring subculture that deserves equal acceptance and tolerance - including acceptance in the workplace - and goth-bashing is a very real problem that needs to be solved.
Each year, more and more media coverage draws attention to our subculture, and embraces it with a little more ease. We hope that this will help create: more acceptance from society at large; more respect for our cultural contribution to the arts, music, fashion, and pop culture; and greater safety for Goths everywhere.
SO GET YOUR GOTH ON, AND CELEBRATE!
GOTH ISN'T GOING ANYWHERE...
WE'RE HERE TO STAY.
