was it just me or did saturday @ rodaos seem to be Night of the Sonar Rejects?

Yeah, Saturday had a weird vibe. I think it was around midnight that the noticeably out-of-place people started to show up. Fortunately, those cheap drinks made up for it. It was nice to be back at the former Twilight Zone, though... haven't been in that building for at least ten years! Do you think it will still be around on October 30th? I'm thinking of celebrating my birthday there, unless you can think of a better venue.

Ohh, i was wondering what was going on with the Arch.  I've been there before 11pm once or twice, and it was great, but a few friends said they were there later and it was awful.  I guess my music taste didn't spontaneously combust after all.

I think there's a lot of traffic coming over from the Saturday nights at the Marble Arch.  They have an 80's night there which is actually quite good, up until about midnight when the DJ's change and it goes all hip-hop.  With Rodaos, I don't mind so much because it's a nice change.  People dance to different things, and with a variety in the crowd, the DJ's keep things mixed up to appease them (and the music doesn't get repetitive).  Besides, I like a lot of elbow room when they play Killing Joke and Nick Cave, I say let the norms sit and watch.  ;)

there seemed to be a large number of polished, brightly-coloured individuals who'd abandon the dance floor when siouxsie & ebm were on, but came flooding back for bowie and pet shop boys.  just seemed like a bit of a weird vibe.

o'ell.  I rawked out just the same, and having more people there is probably good for the club.  music was still killer so I'm happy.
