Hello folks,

  I was considering a road trip to Victoria sometime this week, in order to combat the overwhelming bordom I'm experiencing in Qualicum Beach.  I haven't set definitive plans, but if anyone knows of any "goth friendly" locations I might want to check out, I'd love to hear about them.

My boyfriend has a formal event coming up where I am going to meet members of his ultra-conservative family.  I need to tone down my look a wee bit, but don't want to disappear into the land of poofy pastel ball gowns.  I was wondering if there is anywhere around that sells women's suits (preferably vinatge-esque).

I was finally able to make it over to the mainland for a night of drinking, dancing, and general merriment.  I have to admit that my suspicions about the people of BC were quite accurate…  You truly are a friendly and inviting bunch.
