On January 17th, between the hours of 9pm and 2am, the hallowed dance floor of The Red Room will come alive with the ghosts of the year before, and the spectres of the year to come, enticed to dance by the wicked tunes and awesome lighting.
The Red Room, located at 398 Richards, hosts an amazing dance floor, wicked sound system, and a wide variety of alcohol at affordable prices. Upon entering, you'll be greeted by our lovely door girl, who'll be the first of many to make you feel welcome.
Descent Sundays is home to many with an open mind, open arms, and open hearts. Fresh blood... I mean: Newcomers are always welcome. ~.^
Whether you come to get your dance on, meet new people, make new friends, or even meet with some old ones, Descent is the place to be. Offering a wide variety of tunes, ranging from Industrial to Goth, Aggrotech to EBM, and everything in between, we have something for everyone. Our stompy tunage is provided by some of Vancouver's best DJ's in the genre, and is guaranteed to keep you coming back to the dance floor for more.
Is There a.... Dresscode?
Descent Sundays boasts an exclusively nonexistent dress code. "Why?" you ask. Well, it's simple: We want everyone who comes to our events to be comfortable. Jeans and a tshirt? No problem. Full out Goth? Totally acceptable. Punk kid? Rock god? Sk8tr girl? Awesome. Sweet. Wicked. Feel like going all out in some jaw dropping ensemble? You're totally welcome to. Come how you want to. However you're comfortable. Come as you are.... Wait... not in your towel and nothing else... That's something we have to draw the line at unfortunately.
