October Goth Meetup

Event:

Thursday, October 12, 2017 - 7:00pm

Forum:

It’s not always easy to get out and meet new people, especially in an alternative scene. Where do you go to connect with other members of your community aside from the few club events we have? What if clubs aren’t really your thing? Or what if you aren’t old enough to go to the clubs yet? Where do you connect with your community then?

Meetups are a great way to make new friends and connect with people. You don’t need to yell to be heard and it’s a casual and relaxed environment where you can socialize.

Building a stronger community is all about getting out and meeting people and being involved. Get excited about connecting with your scene and contribute with your participation and ideas. Forge new friendships and make connections at our October Goth Meetup!

7pm – 9pm

Boston Pizza: 1045 Columbia St, New Westminster, BC V3M 1C4

Should I RSVP?

Yes! Please RSVP going on Facebook so that we can get an estimate of what size of table that we need to get when we get there. If you RSVP yes, please try to remember to let us know if you’re not going to make it. We don’t want to annoy the hell out of the restaurant.

A million years ago, in the days of the VanGoth & GothicBC mailing lists, we used to do Saturday brunches at the Whip at Main & 6th which unfortunately closed down last January (glad I got one last brunch there the afternoon before the Coffin Club pop-up party last September.

I wouldn't mind restarting a monthly brunch somewhere. Any suggestions for somewhere cozy where neither fluctuating and unconfirmed numbers would be a problem nor lingering and hogging table just to chat?

Happy birthday!

Happy birthday!

And Metrotown does work. There are a number of restaurants in that area. I tend to prefer boston pizza because I know from my college days that as long as it's not a game night, they don't care about fluctuating numbers or if you sit there for a long time and don't order a lot, unless the party is really big.
