Graveyards: Not just for daytrips

There seems to be a lack of Graveyards in Vancouver that are explorable at night time. In Melbourne I used to go to many Graveyards at night to take photos and found the tranquility really nice.

Does anyone know of some cemetries that are good to look at? Unfortunately BC isn't that old :-(

Nighttime photography in the graveyards has been a battle for me. I hope I'm not late replying to this.

Mountain View Cemetery (5455 Fraser Street, Vancouver) - This one is quite open with very little amount of gates. There are some residential areas but too far to see anyone lurking in the graveyard. Not sure if there was a nightwatch or not. Some neighbourhood residents cuts through here as a shortcut or walk their dogs. Lots of bushes and quite a few trees here & there.

St Peters Cemetery (100 Richmond Street, New West) - I frequently go to this one. I've seen New West Police cars park at the side of the main road, but it's very rare. A few residents walk their dogs here, sometimes without leashes. Try to be careful with this one. It doesn't help when there's residential houses very close-by either.

Cemetery (Entrance on 214 St from Dewdney Trunk Rd, Maple Ridge) - I've travelled by Transit. There's a bus stop nearby, only having to walk a couple of minutes to this hidden cemetery. Can't remember the name for this one. Google Maps doesn't even list it.

Those are my top three, sorted by the best on top. Both cemeteries have a fair amount of tombstones/gravemarkers that's been here since the 1900s.

Try and avoid Forest Lawn Cemetery in Burnaby. Not really worth it as all the grave markers are the flat, flushed with the lawn. Sorry, just not a big fan with those types.

There is one at Riverview Hospital(Coquitlam), if I'm not mistaken. At the right time & weather, you'll manage to catch some fog within the hospital's area. Very eerie and sets in the mood perfectly. Beware though, as there's a 24hr security watch Your best bet is in the daytime. Lots of abandoned hospitals here. I love it!
