Given the amount of cop activity in that general area on a Saturday night (mostly over at Sonar, I'm afraid), that wouldn't surprise me at all.

It may be that they had a tip that the police were going to be dropping by. It's not uncommon. They were probably carding everyone to give a good impression.

Don't worry about it.  They do card people there, but only if they don't recognize you.  We were carded on our first visit, but never since.  Don't take it personally, it *is* the law!
