Forum:
accessibility?
a buddy of mine would love to come out to Decades, but the only thing is she's in a wheelchair. and not yer usual light, easily-liftable wheelchair: this is a battery powered monstrosity that has nearly crushed the feet of anyone who dares to get on her bad side. suffice it to say, it's not the sort of beast that can be carried down steps by fewer than 2 large burly types.
so my question is whether there's an elevator or ramp or anything that makes 7 accessible to my friend who really REALLY needs a good night out. anyone? help?
Sonar, on the other hand, is much more accessible. The entrance, bar, smoke room and washrooms (and the dance-floor for that matter) are all on the same level with no stairs. There are a couple areas - the upstairs bar and dancefloor (which are usually closed) and the seating area in the back (which is not the only seating area) - that have stairs.
Sanctuary, Sunday nights at Sonar would be your best bet.
Nope. That place is FULL of stairs (heritage building). The door man is a big guy, that's all I can suggest.
