I am new to this website Gothic BC and have just joined last night. I am moving to Kamloops, BC to attend Thompson Rivers University from Washington state and wanted to research what kind of Gothic activities there were in Canada. I presume there are several, but couldn't find anything interesting around Kamloops. Does anyone else on here live in Kamloops? I presume there are a nice amount of events in Vancouver (as it is a big city) that I would like to attend whenever I get the opportunity as it is a few hours away.

Well, it's a little disappointing that no one stepped up. Once upon a time I know there was at least one other member in Kamloops.

I'm afraid I don't personally know of any events in Kamloops or nearby - so why not start something? It may seem like a big thing, but it really doesn't have to be. The folks in Victoria used to have a regular Friday night coffee night that served as a springboard for other event there. Some of us in Vancouver now have a lovely meet-up in Stanley park that a couple of girls started. It's been my experience that a lot of stuff *doesn't* happen because of some sense that if it isn't a 500-person club night it isn't an "event" so everything gets left to the club promoters and DJs. It really doesn't have to be that way.
