I am hoping one of the kind hearted souls here will take pity on me and respond to my supplication. 

I have distant relatives coming from England in early June and I know that they are interested in finding a lovely place to sit and have a drink.  Perhaps listen to some local music at a club.  I want them to have a fabulous time in Vancouver but don't really know what to recommend.

hi me and my bf are moving from los angeles ca usa to vancouver ... i was wondering if the scene is pretty big up there ... alright or non existance ... how are the clubs ? ... what dominates .. old school , industrial... etc.???? i would like to hear from all types of people in the scene.. :)
