I'm just taking a shot in the dark here on topic location... This is kinda a school/makeup artist thing... Though makeup is a part of lots of other forms of art and is an art unto itself... but I digress.

I'm studying makeup for film and television. My classmates and I are in need of male models for an upcoming class on Friday, October 4th at 10am until (at the latest) 12 noon.

Most of us are still fairly new to Vancouver (I've only been here for about two months myself) so we've been hoping to get other students at our school to help us out, but so far most of us haven't had any luck. We're all hoping to secure models as soon as possible.

The makeup itself is a 'corrective'/'no-makeup' makeup. So it would mean things like balancing eyebrows, evening out skin tones, masking blemishes, etc. The result meaning to have the model appear flawless on screen.

So, my question to everyone is do any of you know where we might be able to find models? We're not looking for specifically people who model for their professions, just any kind gentlemen who'd be willing to donate their time and faces in the name of education. Models are not required to wear any special costuming, though my instructor has requested that facial hair be kept to stubble at maximum length.

I had figured there had to be somebody who could help me out here, so I'm hoping to be proven right. We'll be needing other models for drag and glamour makeups at later dates so I'd be grateful for any recommendations or assistance.

So, this time we're looking for some fabulous ladies with some spare time to come and volunteer.

We have an exam coming up tuesday, October 15th in which we will need female models from 9 in the morning until at the very latests 12 noon (it likely won't take that long but I figure It's better to give an over-estimation in regards to time since for scheduling purposes).

Our exam task is a timed corrective makeup built up into a glamour makeup.

How the morning would proceed is we would get started right at 9 am and do a corrective makeup in roughly 20-30 minutes to do a basic corrective makeup so prep the skin, colour match foundation, contouring, etc.

Then when the time's up the overseeing instructor will take pictures for grading purposes only. There may be time for the artists to take pictures for their portfolios (at your consent) but I'm not completely sure.

Then it's back to the makeup chair for another 30+ minutes for the artists to turn the makeup into a basic glamour makeup. When that's done our instructor will take grading photos again, (again there may be a chance for students to take portfolio pictures. However, I'm not 100% sure)

When pictures our over, it's back to the chair one more time where we will remove the makeup and you should be free to carry on with your day.

I already have a model coming in for myself, but I know a few of my classmates are struggling to find models, so I thought I'd take it upon myself, be the nice guy, and again turn to you lovely people and see if there was anyone who'd be able to help a poor student out. =)
