Hello.

My wife and I are new here.  We actually met in the goth scene in Wisconsin back in '96, and I've been listening to this stuff for WAY too long.

In madison I used to promote/organize electro, synth, goth/ebm, 'clash variety events under the handle fortran77.  www.fortran77.com  I also DJ'd infrequently at our best club in town: Inferno- two nights a week (including saturdays) of damned good music.

All from Madison, all incredible bands.

Anyway, yeah well we moved here because of a job transfer (Raven Software ---> Radical Entertainment).  I'm having a tough time finding cool stuff to do in this town.  Just checking in... I'm going to post another message about Stochastic Theory release parties, if anyone is interested. :>

No, the scene here isn't as big as it is in large American cities, but hot damn it's better than some other places, let me tell you!  In the past 10 years I'd say it's about doubled in size here... I can only expect that to continue.  I've been doing this freak thing for 19 years and this is the biggest it's been yet, and it's still growing.

Well,  be sure to keep an eye on this board; we list current club events, fashion shows, gigs and other special events here (province of BC only, mind you), not to mention recommended spots for shopping.  Or more conveniently, join the GothicBC mailing list - people are always updating and advertising events there.  You've arrived at a rather good time, because some new weekend club events are coming up at a few different venues (we'll keep you posted when the facts are in, but hopefully before the summer is out).  Have you checked out the photo gallery yet?  If so, you've no doubt come across Atratus or myself - if you ever catch us lurking about anywhere feel free to say hi.  We don't bite... often.
