Gothic BC

Greetings and pleased to make your acquaintance!!

In fact, I`m not Japanese, but originally from the rural areas of the BC interior, but have been living in Japan for the last 3 years.

Anyhow, me and my girlfriend were coming back to visit family in Vancouver this Christmas for about a week, from December 23rd to the 30th.

Anyhow, we were wondering what kinds of clubs/events/etc. friendly to folk of our disposition there will be running around this time?

My girlfriend is a fashion designer and her and I help run Luciferrot/unVolLkomMen. The main website is www.unvollkommen.com, which needs desperately to be updated. She`s done designs for the Japanese band Blood, and also we  have recently started doing performance art-type shows this year. Designs are mainly fantasy, medieval, Victorian, Baroque, Renaissance, Pierrot/Harlequin themed.

I also make music and DJ for this event: www.sukisuki-elepo.com as the token dark ambient/goth dj, and have done interviews for groups like Sopor Aeternus, Leaether Strip, etc.

Anyhow, we also plan on living in Vancouver possibly some time next year.

Musically, I listen mostly to dark ambient, experimental, goth/deathrock, industrial/EBM, martial industrial, ethereal, neofolk, black metal, funeral doom metal, and non-genre music, as well as some old classical and folk music. I`d post a favorite band/artist list, but that would be far too long and overly boring for an intro....

Also like stuff like Zdzislaw Beksinski, H.R. Giger, Jiri Barta, H.P. Lovecraft, Clive Barker, venetian masks, occult literature, butoh, the outdoors, etc.

Anyhow, I hope to become a regular on this forum, and possibly might even see some of you in Vancouver.
