hello :)

i'm german.. and considering to move to Vancouver after uni (Juli)... just looking up what is happening in Vancouver....

as far i know vancouver is very interesting and beatifull... but don't know what happens in the "goth" szene here... hopefully many nice clubs... and friendly people :) and the flats are not too expensive... (i live currently in a student appartment in UK which costs me a fortune!)...

greetings!!!

Gwynn

Well everything you've described vancouver to be is true.

There is a beach, lots of greenery, people are friendly, VERY muliticultural and yes, there are nice little cafes(especially on Commercial Drive)

My problem is that i'm not a very big nature person and I find myself often bored here, I don't think there is too much to see or do in vancouver. But that's just my personal opinion, I just like Germany more because it has so much history and is very oldfashioned, where as Vancouver is quite modern.

I'm not saying it's not a nice city, it very much is, it's a nice place to live and it's very safe compared to most cities.

I'm just very european:)

hi!

Stuttgart? ... i'm from Bonn (well, at least i lived there the most time i've been in Germay.. originally i'm from russia)

by FAR better? so then you have really to explain why :)  !!!

as i have red, the vancouver city is a really multicultural place... it's a city right at the ocean.. not to far from the hills... both of this things i really like...

I like nice cafes... i like nice places to sit or to watch, i like big cities... but only if they are "slow" cities... so you can sit down somewhere and relax.. i hope i make my point understandable.. ;)

but i also like really old towns.. which i wouldn't find in vancouver probably... but you can't have everything....

so let me read your oppinion.. please :) !

greetings,

Gwynn

Hello Gwynn!

I'm Gloria, nice to meet you!

I'm also from germany(Stuttgart), whereabouts are you from?

I've been living here for 5 years now and it's still taking me a while to get used to it, I prefer Europe by FAR but I'm here because of business so what can you do.

I don't know much about the goth scene here, i'm still 18 so I don't go clubbing and I don't really get out that much because i'm constantly busy with work.

Anyways, i'll stop rambling now :)
