Hello everyone
I just moved to Vancouver Island from Alberta this summer to go to school. I am a photography student at NIC in Courtenay, and I am finding it very...... bland here. I am in the unfourtunate position of being so close and yet so far from Vancouver and Victoria and all the wondeful going-ons...... Not that I have the time for it, anyway.... :-/
Let me know if any of you are in my general area, or know of any interesting spots around here.
NIN?? Lucky..... I read on here that they are in Vancouver..... being a student, there is no way I can afford concert ticket..... I am very jelous :(
I heard that there are a few goth stores in Nanaimo........ know if they are any good? My fiance will be here this weekend to visit me( :D), and I thought we'd drive in to check things out.
I'm in Qualicum Beach, which is about half way between you and Nanaimo. The Island is not much for gothic happenings. There used to be some stuff going on in Vic, but when I tried to get out to something it had be cancelled. I've heard that they've started up again, but time has not been on my side.
I do make the trip out to Vancouver every couple of months, when circumstances allow. For example, I'll be heading over for the NIN concert in a fortnight, and I'll likely be attending Sanctuary the night before. The best that can be done under the geographic circumstances. :)
Feel free to give me a shout if you get bored. Folks in the gothic scene around here have been mighty friendly to me since my arrival, and I'm sure you'll find the same. :D
