The calendar tells all - I always go to Blender and Sanctuary if possible.  And there do seem to be men at these events.  I don't know how busy Darkrave is now - I haven't gone for a while.

i'm sorry - i didn't check the forum and my messages for a while.

i am already back in germany :(

but my last weeks in vancouver turned out to be fun.

i also deleted my origninally message - because it didn't made much sense then...

hope you'll have fun with your meetings and with going dancing.

take care

:-)

I'm also new to Van and looking for folk to hook up.  I'll be honest and say that I'm not hardcore Goth, but I dig the scene and my knowledge of the music scene is quite intense given my side-project, SickAmongthePure.com.  Where to go?  Who's up for bevvies?

The friendliest event I've found to hit is Blender, tomorrow night at the Marble Arch - the atmosphere is great for meeting people.  I'll be dancing with there with some friends on the dance floor most of the night.  It's at 518 Richards St.

I highly recommend Curiousity on Wednesday nights as well. It's a more relaxed atmosphere, and the volume of the music and the layout of the space lend themselves to actually having a conversation.
