Gothic BC

Alright.  That does it.  I've decided!  Vancouver is the friendliest place ever!  It's not just that the big happy came out on Hallowe'en, it's friendly here all the time, or at least everytime I come to visit.  I elected to go (window)shopping today, making use of the list provided by Valarian under the "Where to find it" subject line.  While walking up (or down, i'm not sure yet) granville I stopped at one of the lights.  A nice lady took the moment to exchange smiles and pleasentries.  As I went from shop to shop, all the clerks were genuinely kind (not salesman pushy kind, but really nice).  Another lady and myself ended up going the wrong way in an elevator together and had a lovely conversation about nothing in particular.  When we righted ourselves we were joined by a sweet old couple who were equally friendly.  To top it all off, when I got on the train back to my (temporary) place, from out of nowhere, the fellow sitting across from me asked me how my day was.  And he wasn't a creepy, smelly guy who was trying to bum change or smokes or something like that.  He was just being sociable.  The more time I spend here, the better it seems to be.  Now if only I could find a job somewhere on the mainland I'd be one happy little camper.

Anyhoo, I look forward to meeting more of you this weekend, if anyone is heading out this weekend that is.
