Before I knew Game Of Thrones was going to be an HBO TV series, I got into the books.
Part of me wishes I had not done this, because at the time of reading, I had no idea it would take 5 more years (thats right 2017 is the proposed release of the final book and Mr. Martin has taken his time in the past) for the series to be finished..

HBO is doing a good job (so far) of staying true to the books, although some of it is on a smaller scale than I would have liked to have seen. I've read this is due in part to making it more "believable" but honestly, its a fantasy series so how "believable" should it really be..I feel like its more of a money saving measure than anything else.

Are any of you big fans of game of thrones? how do you feel about the books compared to the series?

I feel like I shouldnt say too much here about the plot as I dont want to spoil it for anyone who is just getting into it, but there is this one part with a baby in a brothel that left my insides in a knot. UGH.
